Gynaecology concerns the structure, function and pathology of female genital system. Regular gynaecological examinations and prophylaxis allow to avoid many diseases as well to assure woman’s physical and mental comfort.
Obstetrics occupies in pregnancy management, checking the proper development of the fetus, caring of the proper development of pregnancy and assuring well mother’ and child’ health condition.
There are known many reasons of gynaecological diseases. In some cases there is abnormality in human body systems function, especially in reproductive and hormonal systems requiring detailed history taking and introduction the medical management. But many diseases are the result of omission/lack of prophylaxis, not-hygienic life style and lack of awareness of the regular control need.
Lack of regular gynaecologic control and prophylaxis can lead to turn troublesome pain and mild disease into serious chronic one. Instead of simple short-time pharmacological treatment the serious and often surgical treatment is requires in that cases. For instance, untreated inflammatory state can lead to neoplastic lesion, chronic pain and menopausal disturbances can result in varied psychical problems.

All women should visit gynaecologist for prophylaxis at least twice a year and vaginal cytology should be undertake once a year.
